Shalom and welcome to Ruach Ha Emet (Spirit of Truth) Messianic Synagogue in Peterborough, Ontario. As part of A Light To The Nations Messianic Ministries, our mission is to preach the Gospel to all who would hear, to the Jew first and also the Gentile (Rom 1:17).
We want to see the entire city of Peterborough and beyond come to a saving knowledge of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah by trusting in His death, burial and resurrection. It is only by His atoning work on the cross where He shed His blood that mankind can be forgiven for their sins.
We also help Gentile (non-Jewish) believers come back to their Hebraic roots to have a deeper understanding of the Scriptures.
We study the Word from a first century Hebraic perspective to better understand the context of the passage. We not only look at the original languages but also cultural nuances and the socio-political and economic situations that the authors were dealing with and addressing in their writings. We try to look at the Bible through the eyes of the authors and their intended audiences to get the full meaning of God’s message for them and for us today. We believe in the imminent return of the Lord so our focus is to help the sheerith (remnant) to understand the times and be prepared to be an effective witness to the world today.
When you visit RHE, you will experience beautiful messianic music, Hebrew liturgy, dancing, great food as we have full pot blessing (no luck here) meal after every service and a warm and loving community.
As we obey the command to love one another as He loved us, we strive to build a community based on godly principles and to show the world that those who follow Messiah truly have been transformed by the power of His Spirit.
Come for prayer in the morning, worship the Lord, stay for the meal and study of the word after. Relax and enjoy the full meaning of Shabbat where we find our rest in Him and cast of the cares of the world for one day. You will be refreshed and ready to take on the challenges of life with new energy.
I persoally invite you to come worship with us. Experience l’ahava Ha Mashiach (the love of the Messiah), and experience God in Spirit and in Truth. Baruchot (blessings) and shalom!
